General comments
Bij recidiverende erysipelas wordt in overleg met de patiënt gekozen voor profylactische dan wel tijdige zelfbehandeling (on demand). Bij allergie voor penicilline wordt in dit geval gekozen voor clindamycine.
Bij uitgebreide of ernstige erysipelas: penicilline G i.v 3 miljoen E per 12 uur als continu infuus (6 milj E / 24 uur) + clindamycine 3 dd 600 mg iv.
