General comments
Bij groot tubo-ovarieel abces overweeg metronidazol 500 mg 3 dd i.p.v. 2 dd
Bij overgevoeligheid en/of contra-indicatie voor metronidazol kan daarvoor in de plaats worden voorgeschreven: clindamycine 600 mg p.o., 3 dd gedurende 14 dagen.
Bij overgevoeligheid en/of contra-indicatie voor levofloxacine (fluorochinolonen) kan daarvoor in de plaats worden voorgeschreven: doxycycline 100 mg p.o., 2 dd gedurende 14 dagen
Bij niet leverbaar zijn van ofloxacin po/iv wordt geswitcht naar moxifloxacin 1dd 400 mg po/iv waarbij er dan in voorkomende gevallen geen metronidazol aan hoeft worden toegevoegd
