General comments
Bij heupfracturen, implantaten en ingrepen wervelkolom: bij bekende S.aureus-dragers wordt aangeraden mupirocine-neuszalf toe te voegen.
Systemische profylaxe: cefazoline, eenmalig 2 g iv preoperatief, zo nodig een tweede gift bij een operatie die > 4 uur duurt en/of bij significant bloedverlies tijdens de operatie. Bij allergie voor cefalosporines: clindamycine of vancomycine. Doseringen voor pt met obesitas zie algemene principes bij obesitas Bij bekende S.aureus-dragers wordt aangeraden mupirocine-neuszalf toe te voegen.
In overleg met orthopeden en chirurgen om binnen de eerste 24 uur van de ok max 3 giften cefazoline te verstrekken, te starten op gebruikelijke tijdstip voor OK.
